Strength training for the running athlete

Dr. Morgan Smith has her PhD in Kinesiology and Exercise Science, is currently earning her postdoctoral fellowship in genetics at Stanford, coaches high school track athletes, and runs her own performance coaching business. I am not sure how she found the time to do so, but together we teamed up – with the help of FASTR research coordinator Abby McIntyre – to present two different nights of education on strength training for the running athlete. It was inspiring to see all the parents and coaches that attended, and gratifying knowing that one of these talks could make the difference in an athlete finishing the season at her healthiest and fastest.
